Welcome to our website:
Cheer for Children is a non-profit, all volunteer organization in the South Bay. Every
year since 1985, we have hosted seasonal parties at Harbor UCLA Medical Center
for acutely ill children and their families. We also have parties at Washington and
Jefferson Schools for the physically challenged. Cheer for Children assists a
home for mothers and their children who are trying to get back on their own.
Cheer for Children also assists local families who are in need of temporary help
with food donations, warm clothing, shoes and haircut certificates. When other
organizations cannot respond to special and unusual circumstances, it has been
our policy to try to fill this void. Our "adopt-a-family" program enables us to provide
gifts, including toys, clothes and food, shoe certificates, and gas cards at
Christmas time to the entire families in need.
